October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month
Many states, including Ohio are making the shift from sheltered workshops to community employment for individuals with disabilities. It has been learned that community employment and community involvement are the ideal environments for all our members of society. During this month of awareness we would like to share stories of people with disabilities that are successfully working in their communities. It is our hope that through these success stories, more individuals with disabilities are given opportunities by employers to have typical jobs at competitive wages.
